A Short History of Caldwell County, Missouri
by Bertha Ellis Booth, 1936
Dr. Bertha Booth was a most unusual woman for her times. She had a PhD from the University of Chicago and had done post graduate work at Cornell and Washington Universities in the 1920-30 time frame! An unbelievable accomplishment to be sure. She wrote this book for the Hamilton School system which is located in Caldwell County, Missouri. Scholars have long used this resource because it is rich with information about the Far West period of LDS History. MMFF's republication of this work with the added index would be an essential addition to any serious Mormon historian's library.

Haun's Mill Art Print
by Henry Inouye, Jr.
Haun's Mill invokes many feelings to this day about the meaning of social tolerance in society. This print captures a range of emotions; surprise, fear, sorrow, and the horror of vengeful violence. For those that have particapted in the ongoing FWHistory archaeological digs at Haun's Mill, they see perhaps another quality to this print i.e., the longing to finally unlock the mystery of exactly where these structures were located! Maybe you can come and be there when we do!
