David Hawley, with the Steamboat Arabia Museum in Kansas City, Missouri, is heading up a team conducting a magneto metric survey of the Jacob Haun property at Haun's Mill. The focus of this survey is the eight acre field situated north of Shoal Creek and the wooded area on the north bank of the stream. Survey equipment measures variations in the Earth's magnetic field. Significant anomalies may indicate human activity.
